The recruitment advertising space has seen many changes in the last two decades. It’s moved from publishing an ad in your local newspaper, to posting online, to one-click posting on multiple job boards. More recently we’ve seen the rise of the aggregator and the Pay Per Click model. While the methods have changed, the outcome of just how many candidates you’ll receive for your job advertising spend has always remained an unknown.
Until now.
For our customers in the USA, we’re excited to announce a new, cost effective way to advertise jobs, via our Pay Per Applicant advertising plans.
Pay Per Applicant, as the name suggests, means that you will only pay for the applicants you receive.
No risk job advertising
Unlike the standard premium job board model, there is no charge to place an advert via Pay Per Applicant. Any risk of whether or not your chosen job board will deliver is removed. If you don’t receive the candidates, you don’t pay for the advertising campaign.
Three recommended plans
Pay Per Applicant plans are based around three recommended budgets: Bronze, Silver and Gold. The difference between each is the number of applicants you’re looking to receive, and the size of the audience you’re advertising to. Advertising to a larger audience increases the chance of finding the right applicants faster.
Targeted job advertising campaigns
When you’ve selected a plan, Workable will create a targeted ad campaign for you, based on your job description and keywords. The job will be distributed across a network of 1000s of sites, including the most relevant industry-specific boards, traditional job boards, newspaper careers sites, local government job boards and more. Your job will reach thousands of engaged job seekers automatically.
Real time ROI tracking
As soon as job applicants are received, they’re automatically placed in your Workable candidate pipeline for review with your team. Your budget information is automatically updated and you’ll see the running total of your campaign from the ‘advertising step’ in Workable.
If you find your dream employee after the first day of advertising, or a job opening is cancelled or put on hold, the campaign can be stopped and you’ll only pay for the applicants you’ve received so far. Should your hiring manager need to see a couple more candidates before making a decision, add more budget and continue your campaign until you have the candidates you need to make the hire.
Even more options in the future
We’re really excited to add Pay Per Applicant to our suite of job advertising options. One of the first steps to finding the perfect candidate is making sure that your job is published quickly to the most popular – and relevant – sites for your target job seeker. Pay Per Applicant provides another route, with less financial risk, and real time budget tracking.
Stay tuned for additional job advertising enhancements. We’ll be adding more in the coming weeks and months. If you’re a Workable customer and have a favorite site we don’t currently offer, contact us and let us know.
Or perhaps you’re a job board vendor and would like to discuss partnership opportunities? We’d love to hear from you.
